Rusunawa State University of Surabaya (Unesa) is a one of the facilities built through the Ministry of Public Housing (Kemenpera) was then handed over to Unesa in 2009 and It has been used for student housing since 2010. The name Rusunawa itself is based on the nomenclature of PUPR, but in general people call it a dormitory. Rusunawa or UNESA Student Dormitory which is currently located on the Lidah Wetan Campus to be precise Jln. Wetan Tongue Campus Unesa, located under the auspices of the Unesa Business Management Agency (BPU). Apart from being a business unit, Rusunawa Unesa is one of the supporting units at Unesa in forming the character of its inhabitants, in accordance with the vision and mission of Rusunawa Unesa. Rusunawa's Vision Unesa is "Rusunawa as a representative temporary residence for students" as a means of supporting learning for students", While the Mission of Rusunawa Unesa are: (1) as an ideal temporary residence for studying with conducive atmosphere; (2) as an interactive means and socialization between students in a formal or non-formal environment so that the atmosphere of the Unesa campus becomes more dynamic; (3) as temporary housing at an affordable cost. Rusunawa Unesa is committed to helping build the character of its student residents by providing a program of character/personality development activities, including religious, academic development, life skills, national insight, global insight, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
